Being in a remote area, there aren't many attractions or facilities immediately adjacent to the airport. However, it is situated within a reasonable distance from several notable locations and attractions in the broader Miami-Dade County area and the surrounding regions. Some of these include:
Everglades National Park: This vast national park is known for its unique ecosystem and wildlife. It offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, bird watching, fishing, and boat tours. The park's entrance is relatively close, making it a significant natural attraction near the airport.

As of my last update in 2023, Dade Collier Training and Transition Airport (TNT) in Miami-Dade County, Florida, is not a busy commercial airport. It primarily serves as a training facility for pilots and has a single runway that is one of the longest in the United States. The airport was originally developed in the 1960s as part of the Everglades Jetport project, which was intended to become the world's largest airport. However, due to environmental concerns, the project was halted after only one runway was completed.
Today, Dade Collier Training and Transition Airport is used for training flights, including touch-and-go landings, by both commercial and military aircraft. It also serves as a transition point for aircraft that need to make technical stops or require a quiet space for testing and certification purposes. While it does see a fair amount of training and transition activity, it does not handle commercial passenger or cargo traffic like major airports, making it relatively quiet in terms of daily flight operations compared to other airports.
